Potos

Potos is a village on the island of Thassos in northern Greece. The village is located in the southern part of the island, on the coast of the Thracian Sea (the northern part of the Aegean). Potos has 688 inhabitants. It is 42 km NW from the capital.

The seaside village is a popular tourist resort during the summer season, where tourism provides a large share of income alongside fishing and marble exploitation. Modern coffee bars and restaurants, shopping centers, hotel units gather many Greek and foreign holidaymakers.

Continue to Potos is Pefkari, a tourist settlement with beautiful beaches. Psili Ammos is a small village, 5 km away from Potos. It consists mainly of tourist accommodation as the location is ideal for carefree holidays. The beach is sandy and emerald, while there is the possibility of engaging in many kinds of water sports. It is organized with sun loungers and umbrellas as well as seaside shops where all the necessities are available.
